Chennai:  Raj TV Cameraman Journalist Velmurugan Died due to Coronavirus in Chennai. Velmurugan is a senior cinematographer on the Tamil TV channel Raj TV. He was admitted to the Rajiv Gandhi Government Medical College Hospital in Chennai due to coronavirus.

A Tamil television journalist has died due to coronavirus. He was the first journalist to be killed by Corona in Tamil Nadu.

“He was getting treatment for the past couple of weeks and his condition worsened last night, following which he breathed his last without responding to treatment,” sources said.

A journalist’s forum in Chennai, along with the doctors, arranged for journalists to be treated. This is the first time a journalist has been died in Tamil Nadu by Corona and his demise has shaken the media industry.

Many journalists in Chennai have been tested positive for Covid-19 due to their work nature which demand them to be on field to collect coronavirus related news.

Tamil media has witnessed its first death, as cameraman Velmurugan from Raj TV who had been admitted in a hospital with Coronavirus infection has died after battling the virus. This has come across as a shock for Tamil media industry.
