Chattisgarh: The famous Dr. Pranav Pandya who is the head of Shantikunj Ashram and son-in-law of Pandit Shriram Sharma, has been accused of rape by a girl from Chhattisgarh.
A girl hailing from Raipur, Chhattisgarh has accused Dr Pranav Pandya, the head of Shantikunj Ashram Haridwar, of rape. An FIR has been lodged at Vivek Vihar police station in Delhi regarding this matter.
The victim has filed a zero FIR (Zero FIR) in Delhi’s Vivek Vihar police staation, naming Dr. Pandya’s wife Shailaja in this case. Pandya has called it a conspiracy regarding the FIR lodged against him in Delhi. Pandya has said that I am being falsely accused.
Shantikunj is the headquarters of famous spiritual and social organisation All World Gayatri Pariwar (AWGP) established by Pandit Shriram Sharma Acharya. It is located at a distance of 6 kilometers from Haridwar railway station towards Rishikesh/Dehradun on NH58. At the bank of the holy Ganges and between the Shivalik ranges of the Himalayas, it is also a place of attraction for tourists as well as seekers of spiritual guidance.
The victim says that on July 2010, Pranav went to the coffee room to give her coffee. According to the charge, during the same time, the victim was raped. The victim says she was raped twice a week after the incident and threatened to die and was asked to remain silent. After which the victim has now filed a report.
