Bharat Petroleum Corp Ltd (BPCL) has announced a new customer-friendly initiative with the launch of cooking gas booking through Whatsapp across the country.
BPCL customers can book cooking gas via WhatsApp. BPCL already allows customers to book LPG through other channels like IVRS, missed call, apps, and website among other digital channels apart from its 6,111-strong large distributors. “From today (Tuesday), Bharat Gas (its LPG brand) customers across the country can book their cooking gas on WhatsApp,” BPCL said in a statement adding that it has introduced a Whatsapp business channel to facilitate cylinder booking.
Bookings can be made instantly with two short messages from WhatsApp! Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited or BPCL has introduced easy cooking gas booking system through WhatsApp.
“For the month of June, 2020, there has been an increase in international prices of LPG. Due to the increase in the prices in the international market, the RSP (retail selling price) of LPG in Delhi market will be increased by ₹11.50 per cylinder,” Indian Oil said in a statement.Launching the application, its Marketing Director Arun Singh said, “The provision to book LPG from Whatsapp will make it even simpler for customers. Since Whatsapp is one of the most commonly used apps, for the younger and older generation alike, being there on this platform will bring us closer to our customers.”
Bharat Petroleum, which was on the sell-off block last fiscal, has over 71 million LPG customers, making it the second-largest player after Indian Oil.
Recent LPG Gas Price in India (non-subsidised 14.2 kg Indane) cylinder will now cost Rs 593 in Delhi, Rs 590.50 in Mumbai, Rs 606.50 in Chennai and Rs 616 in Kolkata.
