Acharya Sukumal Nandi Rape Charges: Jain Muni Arrested, Accused of Rape & Sukumal Nandi Ji Maharaj Dressed & Sent to Jail:
The famous Sukumal Nandi Ji Maharaj was arrested for rape charges. Acharya Sukumal Nandi was get dressed and sent to Bharatpur jail for 15 days judicial custody.
The arrest of Digambar Jain Muni Sukumal Nandi, accused of threatening and raping a pregnant woman in the room on the pretext of giving her a coconut of blessing, showed her arrest late Friday evening. Recorded 164 statements before the magistrate of the two women who were victims of rape and molestation.
A police official said on Saturday that a big bag was seized from the accused monk in which the contraceptives, pen drives and two laptops were found.
After this, the accused Jain Muni was dressed and presented before the magistrate. From here, orders were sent to Bharatpur Jail for judicial custody for 15 days.
The accused monk has been identified as Acharya Sukumal Nandi (38), native of Jodhpur. Nandi was staying in a Jain shelter home in Mohannagar locality of the Hindaun town.
Superintendent of Police Anil Beniwal said that the accused will be kept in a hospital in Bharatpur until the Kovid investigation report is not forthcoming. Only then will he be sent to the quarantine built in Bharatpur jail. Earlier in the morning, FSL teams from Jaipur and Karauli reached Hindaun and gathered the necessary evidence.
The Police added On Friday, the statement of the victim and her sister-in-law were recorded before the court after which Nandi was arrested. Arrived in the upper floor room of the Naveen Upashray located in Mohannagar, where the Jain monk was staying, and made necessary investigations.
He has been sent to judicial custody for 15-days. A case against him was registered under Section 354 (assaulting woman) and 376 (rape) of Indain Penal Code. Further investigation is on.
